As a follow-up to the SIFA Launch in Kenya, James Wamwangi was invited by the GIZ - ATVET programme to make an elaborate presentation of the Instruction Guide for Applicants and the SmartME Application on 18th June 2019 . The presentation was to five TVET agriculture training institutions namely: Latia, Bukura, Naivasha, Baraka and Kenya School of Agriculture, wishing to make application for Window I.
Further still, the Ministry of Education - State Department of Vocational and Technical Training in collaboration with NEPAD Secretariat in Kenya organized to have a similar presentation to TVET institutions in Kisumu on 4th July 2019 in order to reach institutions in the Western region of the country who may have not managed to attend the launch. Thirty five TVET institutions and three private sector companies attended the presentation. A similar presentation was scheduled to take place in Mombasa on 23rd July 2019 for TVET institutions in Eastern and Coastal regions of the country.
The participants expressed interest in the SIFA programme and majority indicated they will apply.
